Job Description

Investigates compromised systems, recovers evidence, performs root cause analysis of breaches for legal and remediation purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Acquire and analyze digital evidence from compromised systems
Document and maintain chain of custody for evidence integrity
Perform root cause and impact analysis of security incidents
Work closely with law enforcement and legal teams
Document findings in detailed technical reports
Support court testimony and legal proceedings when required

Requirements and Skills

3+ years of experience in digital forensics or DFIR
Expertise in forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, etc.)
Deep knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
Strong understanding of network protocols and analysis
Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills
Certifications preferred: EnCE, GCFA, or equivalent
