Job Description

Investigates compromised systems, recovers evidence, performs root cause analysis of breaches for legal and remediation purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and analyze digital evidence from compromised systems
  • Document and maintain chain of custody for evidence integrity
  • Perform root cause and impact analysis of security incidents
  • Work closely with law enforcement and legal teams
  • Document findings in detailed technical reports
  • Support court testimony and legal proceedings when required

Requirements and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in digital forensics or DFIR
  • Expertise in forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and analysis
  • Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills
  • Certifications preferred: EnCE, GCFA, or equivalent
